Safety issue? How tough is it to cross the Twin Pairs in Vero Beach?We check out how tough/easy it is to cross State Road 60 westbound, half of the Twin Pairs in Vero Beach, at noon Friday in the summer of 2017.A woman was killed after getting hit by a van on Friday night while crossing State Road A1A in Ormond-by-the-Sea just north of Tom Renick Park, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.The incident happened about 10 p.m. when a Chrysler Pacifica headed north on S.R. A1A struck the 69-year-old woman from Liverpool, New York near Margaret Road, according to the FHP.
