Lake Mary-based clinical trial company Accel Research Sites has acquired two Ormond Medical Arts Pharmaceutical Research Center testing locations, in Ormond Beach and Edgewater. Terms of the April 3 deal were not disclosed. The sites now will be known as Accel Research Sites Ormond Beach and Accel Research Sites Edgewater, bringing the company to 25 testing sites in Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Why this matters: Clinical testing can add jobs and also pushes forward medical treatments along with innovation in the field.
